This means a pickpocket or airport security control can’t take a copy of your system image via USB and brute force your few-digit passcode in a virtual machine without guess rate limiting - they’d have to extract the flash memory chip from the phone to copy it. If they crack the passcode, they can start using your user accounts and whatever information is on the phone.

Murena isn’t a manufacturer that could support an OS. Murena sells phones with /e/OS, an open-source, mostly Android-compatible, operating system developed by them from LineageOS based on AOSP.

Murena 🇫🇷 has the iPhone look and feel. Pretty easy to use.

Your title was clear, and the topic was clearly the privacy of /e/OS, one example application as proof of /e/OS’s failure, and the dumbass started talking about the example application and alternatives to it…

I think you’re exaggerating with “Murena making false claims and not interested in fixing” - I think they’re just lacking the resources to do what they want to do. I think they have a good idea to fix the lack of resources by making money by selling pre-installed devices.

Maybe Murena’s few resources would have been better invested in developing a version of GrapheneOS for some European device.

Once again, a careless inventor put out something not designed to counteract obvious misuses. Shoud have designed a complete system with sensibly aligned incentives.

Not a chore to look into when I adjust my (bright) computer screen to maximum brightness and read something with a white background. The dawn lamp is next to it.

This should be done at the EU-level to create a polished standard system for everyone. We have functional, clunky open-source software that could easily be fitted for any purpose with all the money Europe wastes propping up foreign monopolies sabotaging us.
